Enhanced Training Support and Absentee Payroll
The Enhanced Training Support Package (ETSP) is part of the Stabilisation and Support Package and supplementary Resilience Budget announced by Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat. It seeks to help companies in affected sectors tide over the economic impact of the pandemic and to help them position themselves for subsequent recovery. Companies in non-affected sectors are also eligible for 50% – 90% existing course fees subsidies.
Enhanced Absentee Payroll (EAP) at 90% of hourly basic salary, capped at $10 per hour now covers all sectors. All companies are now eligible to tap on the benefit.
A) Enhanced Training Support Package
Companies will enjoy subsidies of up to 90% of the course fees when they sponsor their employees for CAT-A or CAT-B SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) funded courses.

B) Increased Absentee Payroll Cap (from 1st May 2020)
In addition to higher course fee funding, all sectors (SMEs or Non-SMEs) can also claim absentee payroll funding of 90% of basic hourly salary or cap at $10.
From 1 Jan 2021, the Enhanced Absentee Payroll funding rate will be revised to 80% of hourly basic salary capped at $7.50/hour, for employers in all sectors
