Mr Lim Swee Say is a trustee and Adviser of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC), the Chairman of the NTUC-Administration & Research Unit Board of Trustees, and an Adviser to NTUC Enterprise Co-operative Ltd, and the Deputy Chairman of Singapore Labour Foundation. He is also a Director of SingTel, Ho Bee Land Ltd, Tat Seng Packaging Group Ltd, NCS Pte Ltd, and PSC Corporation Ltd. Mr Lim joined the public sector in 1976 and had held leadership positions in Singapore’s National Computer Board and the Economic Development Board. He joined the Labour Movement in 1996 and entered politics in 1997. His appointment in the government includes Minister of State for Trade and Industry, Minister of State for Communication and Information Technology, Minister for Environment, Second Minister for National Development, and Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office. He also served as the Secretary-General of NTUC from 2007 to 2015 and was appointed Minister for Manpower in 2015. He stepped down from the Cabinet in 2018 and retired from politics as a Member of Parliament in 2020. Mr Lim
Mr Eugene Wong is the founder and Managing Director of the Sirius Venture Capital (SVC), a Singapore venture investment firm, focusing on Food and Beverage (F&B) and Agri-Food Tech start-ups. He is Vice Chairman of Japan Foods Holding Ltd and a Director of several SGX listed companies. He currently serves as the Vice-Chairman of Singapore Business Federation’s China North Asia Business Group and is a member of the China-Singapore Business Council. He also serves on the People’s Association’s Investment Advisory Committee. Mr Wong graduated with a first-class honours degree in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and a Master of Business Administration degree from Imperial College London. He is also a Chartered Director from United Kingdom’s Institute of Directors (IoD) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) holder. He was awarded the Public Service Medal (PBM) in 2020.
Mr Seah Kian Peng is the Group Chief Executive Officer of NTUC Enterprise Co-operative Limited and sits on the board of various NTUC entities. He is the Deputy Chairman of FairPrice Group, NTUC Income, Mercatus, NTUC First Campus, and NTUC Health. He is also the Chairman of FairPrice Foundation and Marine Parade Leadership Foundation as well as a Board member of Singapore Olympic Foundation and Consumer Goods Forum. Mr Seah has worked in both the public and private sectors. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Directors. He was also the founding Chairman of the Harvard Business School Club of Singapore before stepping down in 2018. Amongst his various accolades, he was awarded the Outstanding Chief Executive of the Year 2019/2020 at the 35th Singapore Business Awards. Mr Seah is also a Member of Parliament. First elected in May 2006, he has since been re-elected in May 2011, September 2015, and most recently in July 2020. From 2011 to 2015, he was concurrently, the Deputy Speaker of Parliament.
Beyond performing his role on the Board Of Directors at NTUC LearningHub, Mr Benjamin Mah is also the Regional Director, Strategy & Business Innovation at Oracle Insight Asia Pacific and Japan (JAPAC). Mr Mah combines both business and technology innovation via building eco-systems across multi and interdisciplinary industries specialising in banking, insurance, fintech, cyber and physical security. Over 23 years of technology software business and managed cloud services, Mr Mah pioneered digital transformation and cybersecurity technology innovation ranging from hardware processors, operating systems, middleware, network, applications and mobile. A techno purer who co-founded of V-Key, a digital security technology company, invested by ANT Financial, Mr Mahand held multiple senior management positions in global companies including, IBM and CA, driving a large part of the core security software business and establishing new business units. A trusted Singapore Government board member, National Research Foundation technology advisor, a manpower development advisor, Venture Capitalist and Digital Economy Advisor.
Mr Don Yeo has more than 25 years of experience in the public and private sectors covering a wide range of portfolios including policy formulation and reform, public sector governance and transformation, organisation and resource management, as well as people and talent management. Mr Yeo is currently the Chief Corporate Officer at NTUC Enterprise, the holding entity for NTUC social enterprises comprising NTUC FairPrice, Income, Mercatus, NTUC First Campus, NTUC Health and NTUC LearningHub.
Mr Yeo previously served as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Central Provident Fund Board of Singapore where he spent a decade holding various portfolios including Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Information Officer. In this role, he had overseen multiple policy reforms to Singapore’s pensions and social security system.
He was also Deputy President for Administration of the National University of Singapore. In this role, he was responsible for human resources (HR), finance, investment, information technology, procurement, legal and compliance, risk management as well as student ancillary services including housing, libraries and the arts.
Mr Yeo started his career at the Public Service Division and also served with the Ministry of Trade & Industry, the Ministry of Law, and the Civil Service College, where he was Director of the Institute of Public Administration and Management.
Apart from his public sector experience, Mr Yeo has also worked for multinational corporations such as Shell and Oracle, and was most recently the Executive Vice-President (Corporate) and Chief People Officer for SPH Media, Singapore’s largest media company.
He graduated from Cambridge University in the United Kingdom with a Masters and Bachelor of Arts degree. He is also a Fellow Certified Practising Accountant (FCPA) of CPA Australia.
Ms Joyce Lee is currently the Senior Vice President and Group Chief Information Officer at Janssen Pharmaceuticals, a pharmaceutical company owned by Johnson & Johnson, where she oversees the creation of sustainable value for various stakeholders, optimisation of Business Technology portfolio and investment, and building strong networks around healthcare innovation and technology. She also serves as a member of the Janssen Senior Leadership Group Operating Committee as the Strategic Technology Partner for senior business leaders through advisory on the transformation strategy and application of technology capabilities. Beyond that, Ms Lee champions Diversity and Inclusion with active participation, mentorship, and sponsorship in various Women Leadership Initiatives (WLI), and was most recently awarded the 2023 Ascend A-List Honouree in recognition for her leadership and advocacy in advancing Pan Asian business professionals in North America. Ms Lee has close to 20 years of experience as Chief Information Officer in various organisations, where she specialised in Digital transformation and Innovation, Customer centricity and engagement, as well as advanced data and analytics capabilities. In 2018, Ms Lee was appointed as the Asia Pacific Chief Information Officer, Global Business Technology at VF Corporation (VFC), and served as a Strategic Business Technology partner for two Executive Leadership teams (ELT) across Asia Pacific VF Brands (Commercial) and Product Supply Organization (Global Sourcing). From 2005 to 2017, Ms Lee took on a variety of global and regional roles at Johnson & Johnson, including leading the Consumer business as the Managing Director for Singapore and Malaysia; thus reinforcing both her strong commercial business experience and deep digital and data technology expertise across different business domains and industries. During her seven-year stint at DuPont from 1998 to 2005, Ms Lee was appointed as the first female Country Managing Director by DuPont Asia Pacific Region where she developed a new business model in Singapore for fixed assets portfolio investments, generated new incremental business revenues, and drove successful transformational initiatives like region wide SAP Implementations.
Ms Lee graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Information Systems, and from the Marketing Institute of Singapore with a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing. Ms Lee is also currently the National University of Singapore (NUS) Executive Council Co-Opted member of Innovation & Enterprise.
Mr Yeo Li Pheow joined the Institute for Adult Learning (IAL) on March 2023. Prior to his appointment at IAL, Mr Yeo served 14 years and 9 months as Principal and Chief Executive Officer of Republic Polytechnic. Mr Yeo has held various appointments in different polytechnics since 1990. From May 2001 to Apr 2003, Mr Yeo was the Deputy Director, Higher Education Division at the Ministry of Education. Mr Yeo spent the first six and a half years of his career in the banking industry before he joined the education sector.
Mr Yeo graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics (Accountancy major) from Macquarie University, Australia in 1983. In 1993, he completed his Master’s Degree in Business Administration at the Institut Superieur de Gestion (ISG), France. In 2013, Mr Yeo completed the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School.
Mr Yeo is a Fellow of the Australian Society of CPAs, an Associate of The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (United Kingdom) and an Associate of the Staff Education Development Association (United Kingdom). He is also a professional member of the Singapore Human Resources Institute.
For his distinguished service to the education sector and the Singapore Public Service, Mr Yeo was awarded the following National Day Awards: Public Administration Medal (Bronze) in 2003, Public Service Long Service Medal in 2017, Public Administration Medal (Gold) in 2019, and Public Administration Medal (Bronze) – COVID-19 in 2023.
He was conferred the award of Honorary Doctor [Dr. (h.c.)] of the James Cook University in 2018 in recognition of his exceptional services that have significantly contributed towards the advancement of James Cook University.
Mrs Theresa Soikkeli was appointed the Chief Human Resources Officer at NTUC Enterprise in January 2014. She was previously the Global HR Executive at VISA Worldwide, leading the Human Resources Business Partnering function for all of Visa’s offices in multiple markets across Asia Pacific, Central Europe, Middle East and Africa. Prior to that, Mrs Soikkeli was the Managing Director & Global Head at DBS Bank, leading all aspects of the HR function for DBS’ businesses. Her other appointments were at Morgan Stanley, Glaxo Wellcome, Standard Chartered Bank, Buck Consultants, and Hay Consultants. Theresa also sits on the HR Committee of the Sentosa Development Corporation, which assists the board in its responsibilities related to HR strategy and direction for Talent Management and Compensation. Mrs Soikkeli holds a Masters of Science in Computer Information System from the University of Miami, Florida (USA).
Mr Tan Hang Cheong joined Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) as a lecturer in 1991 after 12 years in the Information Technology (IT) industry. He subsequently held several management positions in NP and was seconded to the Ministry of Education as the Deputy Director of the Higher Education Division from 2009 to 2011. He was appointed Deputy Principal of NP in 2001, a position he held till 2007 when he was posted to Singapore Polytechnic (SP) as its Principal. Mr Tan retired from SP at the end of 2012. He graduated with a first-class honours degree in Computer Science from Imperial College London and earned a Master of Science degree in Technology Management from Manchester University. Mr Abdul Samad is the Vice-President of the NTUC Central Committee. As a key leader of the Labour Movement, Mr Abdul Samad provides leadership and guidance to NTUC committees and represents NTUC in various internal and external forums. His current appointments include Chairman of NTUC Membership and NTUC OPEC Cluster. In addition, he is also Member of NTUC Membership Council, Training Council, IR Council and NTUC 50 Development Fund Committee. As General Secretary of the Union of Power and Gas Employees (UPAGE), Mr Abdul Samad oversees the day-to-day affairs of the union. He continues the Union’s mission to effectively represent rank-and-file workers as well as Professionals, Managers and Executives in the energy, power, gas and utilities industries; and pushes for the long-term interests of both workers and companies via upskilling and reskilling programmes through tripartite efforts.
Mr Arasu Duraisamy is a Member of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) Central Committee. He currently chairs the Labour Movement's Maritime Cluster and is the General Secretary of the Singapore Port Workers Union (SPWU), a post he has held since October 2014. He has been with the union for 28 years. Within the Labour Movement, Mr Arasu serves on various NTUC Committees, such as the NTUC Education and Training Fund (NETF) Board of Trustees, Industrial Relations Council, the NTUC50 Development Fund Management Committee, the NTUC Endowment Fund Management Committee, and the Ong Teng Cheong Education Trust Fund management committee. Mr Arasu is currently a director in NTUC Enterprise and a member of the NTUC Enterprise Audit & Risk Committee and the Angsana Fund Investment Committee. He was appointed as a member of the NTUC Club Management, Finance & Strategy and Audit committee 2021. In the same year, he was appointed as a treasurer of the NTUC-U Care Fund Board of Trustees. He represents the Labour Movement, sits on the Tripartite Committee on Workplace Fairness, and is a Trade & Connectivity Sub-Committee member. He works as an Assistant Service Engineer with PSA Corporation Limited and holds a Diploma in Employment Relations (DER).
