- The course emphasises the values of WSH in the organisation and the legal responsibilities of the Chief Executive/Board of Directors and root cause analysis of top incident types.

Course Objectives
Upon completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand why his/her business should be interested in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH);
- Know what resources or information his/her company can tap on to build its WSH capabilities; and
- Know what actions he/she can take to improve the WSH processes in his/her company
Pre-requisites
- The participant should be a Chief Executive (or equivalent)/ Board Director who is responsible for WSH in the company.
- The program is also suitable for staff who are keen to know more about WSH.
Important Notes for the attendees:
It will be a legal requirement for the CEO or a Board Director of companies in any of the following categories to complete the TEWP before 1 March 2024:
- The company’s SSIC submitted to ACRA is under construction, manufacturing, marine, or transport & storage industries as listed below:

- Construction – F41- 43
- Manufacturing – C10-32 exclude C301
- Marine – C301, H52252, H52225
- Transport & Storage – H49-53 exclude H52252, H52225
- The company employs any work pass holders under the following Work Pass categories: Construction, Manufacturing, Marine, or Process, regardless of the company’s SSIC.
If you are a CEO or Board Director of a company that falls into any of the above categories in bold, you should complete a declaration form so that your completion of the TEWP would be registered as fulfilling the legal requirement. If you are unsure whether your company falls into the above categories, you should also complete the same declaration form to avoid your company being flagged out for not meeting the legal requirement

- The importance of WSH for businesses
- Your legal responsibilities for WSH as CEO or Board Member
- Fulfilling legal responsibility – the Approved Code of Practice on Chief Executives’ and Board of Directors’ Workplace Safety and Health Duties
- Preparing a WSH Policy
Certificate Obtained and Conferred by
- Upon meeting 100% attendance and completion of the WSH Policy, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion/Attendance from NTUC LearningHub Pte Ltd.
- With effect from 1 April 2024, only CEOs or Board of Directors will be issued with the Certificate of Completion which can be used to apply for bizSAFE Level 1 certification with the WSH Council to start the bizSAFE journey.
- The other learners will be issued with the Certificate of Attendance and this certificate will not be able to be used for bizSAFE level 1 certification with WSHC.
