A 2 hours assessment will be conducted by LHUB at the end of the module.
- 1 hour for written test (2 weeks after training)
- 1 hour for final interview (1 week after written test)

Course Objectives
This course enables security personnel to determine work priorities, plan and complete work tasks, monitor own work performance and to develop and maintain professional development.
Pre-requisites
These are the admission requirements:
- Obtained Advanced Certificate in Security Supervision and at least a “N” level educational qualification
OR
- At least an “O” level educational qualification with at least 2 years of working experience
OR
- Participants with the following competency ratings from the Employability Skills are eligible:
- Listening/Speaking Min. Level 7
- Reading/Writing Min. Level 7
- Numeracy Min. Level 7
Course Outline
On completion of this unit, learner shall be able to:
Determine work priorities
- Obtain and review assignment instructions and relevant information to identify Organisational and client requirements which include job specifications from clients, site survey, performance targets/ business objectives, aligned to client’s requirement
- Identify personal work responsibilities and confirm with appropriate person within organisation
- Prioritise and schedule work tasks for completion within designated time-frames
- Identify factors contributing to completion of work tasks and develop solutions to address variances to operational plans as appropriate
- Discuss and obtain approval for variances to operational plan from appropriate person which may include possible problems with new implementation sites and new training programmes for staff
- Maintain relevant records keeping and documentations which may include work schedule, operational plan and variations to operational plan
Plan and complete work tasks
- Analyse and prioritise completing demands to align organisational, team and personal goals and targets
- Identify resources needed to achieve work tasks and proactively seek advice and/or support within organisation where necessary. Support may come from human resources, logistics department, clarification from operations and executive/ manager
- Use appropriate technology efficiently and effectively to manage work tasks such as personal communication devices (for offsite), computer networks and internet/ emails
- Establish specific work performance standards with appropriate person
- Complete work tasks according to agreed time-frame and inform person where work tasks cannot be compled
- Maintain relevant records keeping and documentation
Monitor own work performance
- Conduct self assessment of personal skills and knowledge competencies relating to work performance, seek feedback on work performance from clients and colleagues and identify personal strengths and areas of improvement
- Review work performance on regular basis with appropriate person through formal/ informal session and seek feedback directly on work performance
- Maintain records and information relating to work performance
Monitor own work performance
- Conduct self assessment of personal skills and knowledge competencies relating to work performance, seek feedback on work performance from clients and colleagues and identify personal strengths and areas of improvement
- Review work performance on regular basis with appropriate person through formal/ informal session and seek feedback directly on work performance
- Maintain records and information relating to work performance
Develop and maintain professional development
- Identify and prioritise areas for development relevant to work performance, in line with organisational and personal goals and objectives
- Develop action plan for professional development in consultation with appropriate person to clearly identify measurable outputs and define time-frame for implementation
- Review professional development and training opportunities to improve own competence with appropriate person within organisation for training and educational opportunies, job rotation, business development assignments and special ad hoc/ new projects
- Maintain professional competence through monitoring and adopting new developments and trends within industry
- Regularly review personal goals and objectives to meet changes in organisational and client requirements
Certificate Obtained and Conferred by
Statement of Attainment (SOA) from SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) will be issued for each module graded competent. SOA reflected as SEC-PDV-4001-1.1 Capability Development.

- Work observation – discussion, presentation, project work – throughout the entire training duration and final interview session
- Short-answer written test questions – carried out in a class on a separate day after the training phase
