Know-Your-Customers Through human-centred Approach aims to help learners appreciate the importance of customer centricity in the innovation of product and service offerings.  This course will cover the phases of a human-centred design process using a case study to help learners understand how they can create the value proposition to customers in their service improvement initiatives.

Course Objectives

At the end of the programme, learners will be able to:

  • Describe how Human Centered Design provides business benefits
  • Understand the importance of creative behaviour
  • Understand the human-centred Design process
  • Generate insights based on HCD
  • Apply idea generation, selection and development of prototypes
  • Apply usability test techniques in their prototypes

Pre-requisites

Recommended minimum English proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills Workforce skills Qualifications (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy Level 4.

Course Outline

The course will cover the following:

Introduction to Human Centered Design and their phases

Phase 1: Inspiration

  • Understanding customers

Phase 2: Ideation

  • Making sense of data, methods and frameworks
  • Brainstorming
  • Storyboarding, prototyping and feedback

Phase 3: Implementation

  • Finalising of project

Individual:

  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents physically based in Singapore
  • Trainee has to complete 100% attendance and pass all relevant assessments and examinations
  • NTUC LearningHub reserves the right to claw back the funded amount from trainee if he/she did not meet the eligibility criteria

  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents physically based in Singapore

  • Trainee has to complete 100% attendance and pass all relevant assessments and examinations
  • Eligible company-sponsored trainees will be able to clock CPD hours upon successful course completion

Class Allowance

For all courses commencing after 1st July 2021 and before 31st December 2021 :

  • Singapore Citizens and permanent residents of all ages will receive course fee subsidies of 90%
  • The course fee for individuals and corporates are shown in the pricing table.
