Course Overview
Design thinking is a human-centered approach to innovation that integrate the needs of people, the possibilities of technology, and the requirements for business success. It focusses on taking action to quickly build out ideas, test and refine. It is a proven blue print for to come up with innovative solutions within a short period of time.
The program will help participants to facilitate and guide stakeholders to apply design thinking methodologies and processes for the organisation through case studies and activities. There will be special focus on problem solving for digital transformation in an increasingly digital world.
The workshop, conducted by a Design Thinking expert, will ensure participants work through the six stages of the Design Thinking process to facilitate unique and innovative solutions.

Pre-requisites
This workshop is suitable for supervisory and managerial staff that have prior knowledge of Design Thinking or have attended the Design Thinking for Operations module.

- Articulate to team members the principles and concepts of innovation, creativity and design thinking processes
LU2: Understanding of Needs with Empathy
- Equip stakeholders with the mind set to develop design thinking approaches as strategies for creativity and innovation
LU3: The Design Challenge
- Frame design concepts in alignment with the organisations strategies and values
LU4: Ideation for Solutions
- Facilitate the appropriate use of divergence and convergence processes and methodologies
LU5: Iterative Prototyping
- Establish metrics to measure outcomes of design ideas and prototypes
LU6: Validation Tests
- Gathering user feedback

LU7: Design Thinking Focused Organization
- Remove obstacles and hindrances to implementing design thinking for the organisation
