Course Objectives
On completion of this unit, the learner will be able to identify problems systematically, collect relevant information to clarify the problems, analyze root cause(s) and suggest an action(s) to resolve the problems. Participants will also be able to check with the effectiveness of the action(s) taken and its integration to the organisation’s overall management system in preventing the recurrence of the problem.

- ‘O’ Level educational qualification

– Listening/ Speaking Min. Level 7
– Reading/ Writing Min. Level 7
– Numeracy Min. Level 7
Course Outline
- Determine the root cause(s) at the workplace in accordance with root cause analysis method
- Carry out root causes analysis, generate corrective and preventive actions using appropriate tools
- Evaluate and decide the corrective and/or preventive action(s) in accordance with root cause analysis method
- Report root causes and recommend the corrective and/or preventive action(s) in accordance with organisational procedures
- Monitor the effectiveness of actions taken in accordance with organisational procedures
- Sustain the corrective and/or preventive action(s) implemented in accordance with organisational procedures
- Implement root cause analysis in the workplace in accordance with root cause analysis method
