Course Overview
The WSQ Specialist Diploma in Occupational Hygiene is a competency-based training programme that aims to equip individuals with the competencies of an Occupational Hygiene (OH) officer.

Pre-requisites
The minimum criteria for admission for the WSQ Specialist Diploma in Occupational Hygiene are:
(i) ES WPLN Level 6, OR Grade C6 in GCE ‘O’ Level for English and Mathematics; AND
(ii) Grade C6 in GCE ‘O’ Level Science (Chemistry and Physics)
^^ Trainees with Specialist Diploma in WSH can be exempted from the Maths and Physics GCE ‘O’ Level requirements for the Occupational Hygiene Courses
Preference will be given to candidates who have at least 2 years of working experience in any industry.
Credit Exemption
Selected units under the OH Professionals WSQ framework have been closely referenced to the existing Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and National Environmental Agency (NEA) courses.
Recognition Arrangement
Individuals who have undertaken the MOM/NEA accredited courses will need to submit documentary evidence to seek exemption for corresponding units in the OH Professionals WSQ framework.

- Monitor Noise and Vibration
- Control Noise and Vibration
- Measure Exposure and Assess the Risks due to Hazardous Substances
- Evaluate Health Effects due to Hazardous Substances
- Manage Hazardous Substances
- Evaluate Ergonomics Related Hazards
- Compose Technical Report
Elective Modules – Group 1 (complete 2 Modules)
- Assess and Control Thermal Stressors
- Assess Confined Space for Safe Entry and Work
Elective Modules – Group 2 (complete 1 Module)
- Solve Problem and Make Decision at Managerial Level
Individuals may seek credit exemptions for the following elective modules by submitting documentary evidence:

- Manage Radioactive Materials and Irradiating Apparatus
- Control Hazards in Handling Laser Devices
- Manage Asbestos and Other Fibres Risks (Not offered in NTUC LearningHub)
- Manage Skin Exposure Risks (Not offered in NTUC LearningHub)
- Manage Indoor Air Quality (Not offered in NTUC LearningHub)
- Evaluate and Control Biological Hazards
(Group 2)
- Lead Workplace Communication and Engagement
Certificate Obtained and Conferred by
A Statement of Attainment (SOA) will be awarded upon completion of the course.
