CHAIRMAN

Eugene Wong

Eugene is the founder and Managing Director of the Sirius Venture Capital (SVC), a Singapore Venture investment firm, focusing in F&B and Agri-Food Tech start ups. He is Vice Chairman of Japan Foods Holding Limited and a Director on several SGX listed companies. He currently serves as the Vice Chairman of Singapore Business Federation’s China North Asia Business Group and is a member of the China-Singapore Business Council. He also serves on the People’s Association’s Investment Advisory Committee. Eugene graduated with a Bachelor of Business Admi (SID). He was awarded the Public Service Medal (PBM) in 2020.

Abdul Samad

Abdul Samad bin Abdul Wahab is the Vice-President of the NTUC Central Committee. As a key leader of the Labour Movement, Abdul Samad provides leadership and guidance to NTUC committees and represents NTUC in various internal and external forums. His current appointments include Chairman of NTUC Membership and NTUC OPEC Cluster. In addition, he is also Member of NTUC Membership Council, Training Council, IR Council and NTUC 50 Development Fund Committee. As General Secretary of the Union of Power and Gas Employees (UPAGE), Abdul Samad oversees the day to day affairs of the union. UPAGE is an established industrial union in the energy and utilities sector. Through the years, the union has built up robust labour management relations, as well as played an integral role in modernising the sector while addressing workers’ concerns. With over 5,500 members across 16 companies, Abdul Samad continues the Union’s mission to effectively represent rank-and-file workers as well as Professionals, Managers and Executives in the energy, power, gas and utilities industries; and pushes for the long term interests of both workers and companies via upskilling and reskilling programmes through tripartite efforts.

Benjamin Mah

Beyond performing his role as Board Of Director at NTUC LearningHub, Mr Benjamin Mah is also the Regional Director, Strategy & Business Innovation at Oracle Insight Asia Pacific and Japan (JAPAC). Benjamin combines both business and technology innovation via building eco-systems across multi and inter disciplinary industry specialising in banking, insurance, fintech, cyber and physical security. Over 23 years of technology software business and managed cloud services, Benjamin pioneered digital transformation and cybersecurity technology innovation ranging from hardware processors, operating system, middleware, network, applications and mobile. A techno purer who co-founded of V-Key, a digital security technology invested by ANT Financial and held multiple senior management positions in global companies including Oracle, IBM, and CA in key regional leadership roles, droving a large part of the core security software business and established new business units. A trusted Singapore government board member, national research foundation technology, manpower development, venture capital and digital economy advisor.

Theresa Soik

Ms Theresa was appointed the Chief Human Resources Officer at NTUC Enterprise in January 2014.She was previously the Global HR Executive at VISA Worldwide, leading the Human Resources Business Partnering function for all of Visa’s offices in multiple markets across Asia Pacific, Central Europe, Middle East and Africa.Prior to that, Theresa was the Managing Director & Global Head at DBS Bank, leading all aspects of the HR function for DBS’ businesses. Her other appointments were at Morgan Stanley, Glaxo Wellcome, Standard Chartered Bank, Buck Consultants, and Hay Consultants.Theresa also sits on the HR Committee of the Sentosa Development Corporation, which assists the board in its responsibilities related to HR strategy and direction for Talent Management and Compensation.Theresa holds a Masters of Science in Computer Information System from the University of Miami, Florida (USA).

Scott D. Anthony

Scott D. Anthony is a Senior Partner at Innosight, where he helps leaders design new growth strategies, build innovation capabilities, navigate disruptive innovation, and manage strategic transformation. Scott has written eight books, including most recently Eat, Sleep, Innovate (2020) and Dual Transformation (2017), which describe how forward-thinking organizations can navigate disruptive change and own the future. Scott is a prolific contributor to Harvard Business Publishing. He is the most published digital author on HBR.org and is Harvard Business Corporate Learning’s most in-demand subject matter expert. He has been based in Singapore since 2010, where he served as a member of the Committee on the Future Economy and a Board member of MediaCorp from 2013-2019. In 2019 he was named one of the world’s 10 most influential management thinkers by Thinkers50, and in 2017 he won the T50 Innovation Award.

Tan Hang Cheong

Mr Tan joined Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) as a lecturer in 1991 after 12 years in the IT industry. He subsequently held several management positions in NP and was seconded to the Ministry of Education as the Deputy Director of the Higher Education Division from 2009 to 2011. He was appointed Deputy Principal of NP in 2001, a position he held till 2007 when he was posted to Singapore Polytechnic as its Principal. Mr Tan retired from Singapore Polytechnic at the end of 2012.
Mr Tan graduated with a first class honours degree in Computer Science from Imperial College London and a MSc in Technology Management from Manchester University. He was awarded the Public Administrative Medal (Silver) in 2001.
