Course Overview

Acquire knowledge and life skills such as establishing personal goals and relating them to team goals, managing time effectively, maintain work-life balance, managing stress as well as personal finances to be effective at the workplace.

Hybrid Work Environment

The pandemic accelerated the existing trend in remote work with more employees need to switch between working mode. In the hybrid workplace, acquiring knowledge and life skills such as

1.  establishing personal goals and relating them to team goals

2. working effectively as a team

3. managing time effectively

4. maintaining work-life balance

5. managing stress and

6. personal finances are the essentials to keep individual effective in the new work environment.

Course Objectives

On completion of this unit, the participant will be able to perform the following:

  • Set personal goals and align them to team goals
  • Identify ones role and responsibilities and their contribution towards the achievement of team goals
  • Identify personal strengths and weaknesses, list the strategies to overcome weaknesses and describe how personal strengths can contribute towards the achievement of team goals
  • Plan and complete personal tasks to meet team goals
  • Recognise symptoms of and deal with stress to maintain work effectiveness
  • Identify work-life balance programs to maintain personal work-life balance
  • Identify ones existing financial position using appropriate tools and describe how to manage such a position

 

Hybrid Work Environment

On completion of this unit, the participant will be able to perform the following:

  1. Set personal goals that aligns to team goals in the hybrid work force.
  2. Identify one’s role and responsibilities and their contribution in the hybrid work mode towards the achievement of team goals.
  3. Identify personal strengths and weaknesses working in a hybrid workspace, list the strategies to overcome weaknesses and describe how personal strengths can contribute towards the achievement of team goals.
  4. Plan and complete personal tasks on time to meet team goals.
  5. Recognise symptoms of and deal with stress to maintain work effectiveness when working in office and remotely.
  6. Identify work-life balance programs to maintain personal work-life balance off and online.
  7. Identify one’s existing financial position using appropriate tools and describe how to manage such a position.

Pre-requisites

Learners are required to:

  • Be able to speak, listen, read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 4
  • Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES WSQ Workplace Numeracy (WPN) level 4
