This course is suitable for all levels of Singaporean (including those planning to return to the workforce), who are not familiar with the use of new technologies at work or in their personal lives.
Course Overview
SkillsFuture for Digital Workplace (SFDW) is a national initiative that gears Singaporeans with foundational digital skills and a mindset for the digital transformation, preparing them for the future economy. Faced with rapid changes and constant disruptions at work and in our personal lives, it is important that we become future ready by anticipating and embracing change positively. New partnerships with Avast, LinkedIn and Shopee will also be added to the curriculum, enhancing content on cybersecurity, employability and online entrepreneurship .

Course Objectives
SFDW General
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Know more about the current and emerging technology and data trends, the basic foundations of e-commerce and expanding your network onlines.
- Build your resilience, adaptability and become attuned to a technology-rich environment.
- Recognise the importance of staying safe online.
- Know more about how data and information can be utilised.
- Develop self-confidence to navigate your learning and career pathways throughout different phases in life.
SFDW PMET
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Know what jobs in the future economy entail.
- Be prepared to work in a technology-rich environment.
- Apply basic Lean concepts as a framework to implement technology to improve work processes.
- Know the impact and risks of cyberattacks, the importance of cyber security in work and daily applications.
- Understand and apply the use of business analytics to improve workplace efficiency.
- Fundamentals of business analytics
- Use of an analytic framework
- Critical Success Factors (CSF) for business analytics
- Establish learning needs and develop an action plan for learning to prepare well for the future economy.
Pre-requisites
Prior to attending this course, you should:
- Be able to read and understand basic English.
- Be familiar with the use of digital apps on a phone or tablet.

- Basic Lean concepts and being a change agent at work
- Basic concepts and widespread use of data in the future economy
- Essentials and importance of cyber security
- Understand the growth of e-Commerce
- Be a digital savvy buyer and seller on the Shopee Digital Marketplace
- Adopt safe mobile Cybersecurity measures using the AVAST app
- Appreciate the use of LinkedIn as a platform for digital presence, career opportunities, progression and development
- Action plan to pursue learning options for continuous learning to prepare for the future of work
Certificate Obtained and Conferred by
A Certificate of Completion will be issued by NTUC LearningHub.
** Tourist guides will be awarded the maximum 14 PDC hours
