Course Objectives
- Prepare for work activities
- Perform simple maintenance to fixtures and fittings
- Perform periodic cleaning of toilet ceilings, glass, walls/ partitions, fixtures and fittings
- Perform de-scaling of urinals and toilet bowls
- Perform advanced cleaning of toilet floors
- Reinstate work area
Course Outline
- Know the various types of environment
- Know the various types and characteristics of toilet ceilings, glass, walls/ partitions, fixtures and fittings for periodic cleaning
- Know the various types and characteristics of toilet floors
- Know the various types and characteristics of urinals and toilet bowls
- Know basic proper grooming for work
- Know the various types and proper uses of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Apply basic knowledge of first-aid
- Display appropriate safety signage to reduce hazards before work
- Know the tools, equipment, supplies, and chemicals for periodic cleaning of washrooms
- Have knowledge of Safety Data Sheet (SDS)
- Perform simple maintenance to fixtures and fittings
- Perform de-scaling methods to urinals and toilet bowls
- Perform periodic cleaning for toilet ceilings, glass, walls/ partitions, fixtures and fittings
- Perform advanced toilet floor cleaning using single disc floor scrubber
- Reinstate work area
- Follow procedures and standards
