- Manage major security emergencies (involving authorities)
- Assist emergency response team in handling post-emergency activities

Course Objectives
This course aims to provide people already working or wishing to enter the Security Industry with the skills and knowledge required to manage security emergencies within the Security Industry.
Pre-requisites
- Prior skills and knowledge in basic principles of security management, in conducting security assessment study of clientâs site, preparing a detailed security operations order and developed manpower deployment plan
OR
- Participants with the following competency ratings from the Employability Skills are eligible:
- Listening/Speaking Min. Level 6
- Reading/Writing Min. Level 6
- Numeracy Min. Level 6
Course Outline
Prepare handle client enquiries and requests
- Functions that make up the structure of an Emergency Response Team
- Key personnel involved in an Emergency Response Team and their roles and responsibilities
- Roles and responsibilities of a Security Manager in an Emergency Response Team
- Types of training to enable the Emergency Response Team to execute their roles and responsibilities effectively during emergencies
- Key areas that an Emergency Response Plan must address in order for it to be an effective plan
- Importance of familiarising with the Emergency Response Plan, ensuring that it covers all aspects of emergencies
- Fundamental differences between Minor and Major Emergencies and the legal boundaries, constraints and authorities of the security manager during those emergencies
- Techniques / skills required in dealing with major emergencies
- Suggestions on how to coordinate rescue efforts with the authorities such as the Police, fire and medical services
Certificate Obtained and Conferred by
Statement of Attainment (SOA) from the SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) will be issued for each module graded competent. SOA reflected as SEC-ICM-4003-1.1 Incident Response.
