Course Outline

On completion, the trainee shall be able to:

  • Analyse job instructions/orders to identify cleaning activities and the resources needed in consultation with relevant stakeholders
  • Plan and schedule cleaning activities to meet job instructions/ orders in consultation with relevant stakeholders
  • Establish supervision plan to ensure safe and effective work performance
  • Establish reporting plan to relevant stakeholders in accordance with organisational and contractual requirements
  • Seek approval and/or confirmation of cleaning arrangements in consultation with relevant stakeholders in accordance with organisational procedures
  • Conduct pre-cleaning briefing in accordance with organisational procedures
  • Monitor worker compliance with safety requirements in accordance with regulatory and organisational policies and procedures
  • Supervise performance of workers to meet cleaning schedules and standards in accordance with organisational procedures
  • Adjust cleaning schedule and arrangements to meet clients requirements in consultation with relevant stakeholders and in accordance with organisational policies and procedures
  • Provide feedback on work processes in consultation with relevant stakeholders
  • Obtain information on contingencies for corrective actions in accordance with organisational procedures
  • Take corrective actions for contingencies and report actions taken in accordance with organisational procedures
  • Provide recommendations for prevention of future occurrences in consultation with relevant stakeholders
  • Implement recommendations in accordance with regulatory and organisational procedures
  • Provide feedback on the effectiveness of new processes in accordance with regulatory and organisational procedures
